Fresh Bread and Fresh Coffee, what more do you need in life?

We searched for the best coffee in town and are excited about being able to sell Fresh Roasted Waterloo Coffee at Golden Hearth.  We will be selling their date stamped guaranteed fresh roasted  coffee beans everyday.

On August 11th, The Waterloo Coffee Co. will be back in the store from 7am till noon brewing their delicous coffee to sell by the cup.

I personally just finished a cup of their Oktoberfest blend and am hankering for more…

Aerobie® AeroPress™ Coffee & Espresso Maker

The AEROPRESS™ is an entirely new way to make coffee.

• Water and grounds are mixed together for ten seconds.

• Then gentle air pressure pushes the mix through a micro-filter in 20 seconds.

• The total brewing time of only 30 seconds results in exceptionally smooth flavor.

• Tasters ranging from professional cuppers and author Kenneth Davids, to coffee aficionados all praise the smooth, rich flavor.

Now available at Our Bakery for $39.99.

We are the only retailer in the Waterloo area.

There are good people in this world

Last Week a gentleman called to put two Epi’s on hold for Saturday pick up.  As some of you know the Epi always sells out.  We put the two aside, and he was a no show.    It was  a bit of a bummer.  We watched those  Epi’s sit on the shelf all day.  We have never closed shop on a Saturday with Epi’s.

Then on Wednesday this gentleman comes in and hands me $5.  He apologizes for not coming in on Saturday to pick up the bread.  He wanted to make things right.

It blew me away.  In all my years of retail food, I have never had someone do this.  It makes us feel so good about the products that we are making and the appreciation that people have for them.

Kudos
